Flush - For the perfect finish

When your crop enters the last two weeks before harvest, it enters a critical phase, especially with regards to flavour. Some growers keep feeding until the last few days, some flush with plain water, some reduce feeding dramatically. We recommend using a specific flush product for the last week or two to give the crop the ideal finish with a great flavour.

Towards the end of flowering a special type of nutrient is required, it should…
 

1: Contain some NPK. This is essential as the shock of moving from full feed to zero feed forces the plant to use the sugars that should be going to the fruits to produce flavour.

2: Contain hormones to help the plant to use up excess nutrients in the plant sap, complete the ripening and increase the production of sugars.

3: Keep the pH in an ideal range with little or no acid. Additional acid at this point can create a chemical taste in the fruit, phosphoric and nitric acid upsets the NPK and a high pH can lead to harsh flavours from alkaline molecules such as chlorophyll.

Plant Magic Flush doesn’t disturb the beneficial bacteria or fungi, unlike if you use plain water which can lead to microbe starvation and death. As well as helping your plant in the final phase of fruiting, Plant Magic Flush can be used to correct over-fertilisation. If you do over-fertilise empty the reservoir tank and replace with water and Flush to help the plant to release the excess nutrients and regain health. This is much more beneficial than switching to just water to combat over-fertilization which can stress the plant causing symptoms that look like over- and under- fertilization leading growers to repeatedly flushing with plain water when the plant is actually showing signs of hunger!
